    Console presses "A" or "enter" by itself.


    My console is self pressing the enter command. To test this issues I have disconnected the kinect and also booted the system up without the controllers begin online. The problem must be internal.

    This is very distressing because withing moments of booting up, the console trys to launch whatever app is on the main dashboard, (netflix or youtube) and then because you have to be logged in for one of those services, is enters the "ok" button, the default,
    and takes itself to the login screen, logs the first person in, and then launches the app, even picks the first movie available.

    It does not do this rapidly, but it is less then a minute between commands, and seems to get shorter and faster as the system runs.

    Stuck at "press A"

    Rebooting the xbox fixed this (???)

    I am stuck at the "press A" prompt on initial boot. Turning the controller off and on will take me to and from the prompt to turn the controller (so it is at least communicating), but I can't get past the prompt to press the A button. No matter what I
    do it just sits there.

    This sounds like a pretty odd behavior indeed.

    Please try to reset your one to factory settings and see if the problem persists. If a factory reset does not fix this please contact the technical support for having the box serviced or initiate it at by yourself at

    Interesting! Let's try to reset your PC's Microsoft Store. Follow these steps:

    1. Open the Start Menu and type Run. Press Enter.

    2. On Run, type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

    3. Wait for the Command Prompt to close by itself.

    4. Try to download the game through the Microsoft Store.

    I had this issue too. I fixed it in the following way:

    - Turn off your Xbox by pressing the power button on the console itself (white Xbox logo).

    - Wait for all the lights to turn off on every device (Kinect, controller and the console itself).

    - Power on your console by pressing the white Xbox logo on the controller itself, not the console.

    Everything worked as intended after that.

    Righto, I've pressed the reset console option and directly after pressing it the console itself let out a high pitch but quiet sound, Is this common?
