    I’m having trouble with my original Xbox one. I don’t know if it’s the power box the console itself. I have an after market power box because the original stopped working. Anyway, I plug the power box into the wall and it’s a solid red light. As soon as I plug it into my xbox the red light starting flashing nonstop. I’m going to buy a new power box tomorrow from GameStop. But if that doesn’t work I’ll have to buy a new Xbox right?

    I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your power supply unit.

    On the original power supply unit, a flashing light would've indicated that the power supply was faulty. This may also be the case with the one you are using right now.

    Some aftermarket power supply units have either a sticker or engraving indicating what each color and LED behavior means, do you see this on yours?

    Hi, should the above not resolve the issue, power the console off and remove the power cable from the console, also power off your cable tv box and remove the mains plug from the power outlet, Wait two minutes, power up the cable box first and once that's
    fully booted up reconnect the console power cable and power up the console.

    Is it plugged into a power board or directly to the wall? Check the power cable is in the power supply box and the power supply cable is fully plugged into the console. If it is still giving you issues call support.

    Hi cpt2snipe, do you have a friend how bought a Xbox One? If so, try to borrow his power box to test it on your console. I did for mine and it did not fix the problem. It is a hardware issue with the console, not the power box.

    Mine also failed at the end of the Day One 500 MB update... after it powered off it never powered on again. It only power one 2-3 seconds since then.
