If your console does not have a HDMI port there is no way to convert it to HDMI output - you will need to upgrade your console.

Outrage that surroud sound is not patched for Dobly Digital though optical!
This is crazy. DD supported through HDMI but not the optical output?
The Xbox One console has no Dolby Digital output support at all. It's not just optical. There's no Dolby Digital via HDMI either.

Xbox One S will turn on but blank tv screen and console turn itself off after about 10 seconds. Help!

Did you make sure that the TV is connected to the correct HDMI port on the back of the console, there is two ports on the back of the Xbox One console one for HDMI in from cable / satellite TV box, and one that outputs the signal to the TV.
Yes thanks, console hdmi is in the output to tv port
