Console incorrectly set to instant-on power mode

Discus and support Console incorrectly set to instant-on power mode in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; On the current Alpha Skip Ahead build.     Console incorrectly set to instant-on power mode


    On the current Alpha Skip Ahead build. Noticed my console has somehow found itself set to instant-on despite the fact that I’ve never once changed it from energy saving mode.

    Have power-cycled it a couple of times and it completely skips the boot sequence and loads straight into the dashboard.

    Any else experiencing this issue?

    Have submitted a report from the console.

    Do you have your console set to Energy-saving power mode or Instant-On power mode?

    Is your console enrolled in the Insider Preview program`?

    Can you also try the following:

    In the energy settings, set your console to Power saving (not Instant on). Shut down the console, and restart it from the power saving mode.

    Then re-set it to Instant On mode, and shut the console down. Does the console now download stuff in the background?

    Hi Rafael,

    Thanks for your post. In order to allow remote installation, make sure your console's power mode is set to "Instant-On", this can be done by visiting Settings>Power & Startup>Power Mode & Startup>Power mode. If Instant-On is already enabled, you may want
    to toggle it, perform a
    hard reset    , and then toggle the setting back to Instant-On again.

    Please let us know how this goes.

    If you have the console set for instant on mode, turning the console off will put it into standby mode. You would have to turn it completely off by holding the power button down on the console.

    If it's not on instant on mode, then turning it off via the controller or settings would turn it completely off.
