E68 is related to HDD failure, not console failure.

You could look into a replacement HDD, though if you have a pre-Jasper console a new console is probably a better idea.

I'm not using the insider updates

I had to do like a dozen system resets in the past 4 months

Are you in an Insider preview ring?

Are you getting any error messages/codes when you turn the console on?

If so, what are they?

Does the troubleshooting screen appear or does it go to the sign in Home screen?

Are you using WiFi or wired to connect to your network hardware?

At this point, I would have to recommend
creating a service order for your device, as if it is hardware failure, it will be difficult to have your console behave as intended without a repair.

Xbox Rep that will be able to assist you further with this.
