    Console failing to recognize xbox live membership


    Ok so my Xbox live membership expired about 3 days ago today i got on my xbox and on the dashboard i saw a 1 year for 40dlls promotion so i clicked on it entered credit card info double checked everything and bought it. I got the confirmation email and in
    the membership section on my xbox it says i have Xbox Live also in subscribtions in the xbox settings it says i have xbox live i tried getting on gta online but it says i need xbox live to play at first i calmly searched online and found that it takes a while
    for my profile to update so i waited... for 4 hours i tried again and same thing, read some more and cleared the system cache, re-downloaded my profile and tried again SAME THING i checked the billing report everything seems fine the order says Completed its
    been 11 hours and still SAME THING i am now not so calmly asking for help from you the community and i will be contacting xbox support tomorrow morning, but please any sugestion is welcome

    I have xbox Live Gold Membership I pay for yearly...but I still don't think my Xbox live Rewards recognizes it???

    Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, as stated in our FAQ:

    —My Xbox Live Rewards account is not recognizing my Xbox Live Gold membership. What should I do?

    Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.

    Console failing to recognize xbox live membership

    Unplug your Xbox from power, as well as your internet modem/router. Keep it unplugged for about 15-30 minutes. Plug it all back in, and see if helps anything!

    After reviewing your account, your Gold subscription for the last three months was a promotional, discounted subscription. As mentioned in the FAQ, promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards:

    As per the Xbox Live Rewards FAQ, trial memberships may not be eligible for Xbox Live Rewards. See here: "Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership,
    we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member."

    Purchasing an Xbox Live subscription while on a trial SHOULD add the remaining days of the trial to your subscription. I'm not 100% certain on that though.

    We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:
