Console Care And Advice

I have seen alot of issues around power issues and the like.

i do have a bit of advice that have both helped myself and other xbox users (as listed below)

First i would advise that you plug in your xbox directly into a wall outlet and not a power bar. power bars are limited to only so much power and do have a tendency to fail more often than people think. you want to make sure your console is getting adequate power for both your console and your peripherals you may have plugged in

If you have the money and live in an area where your power isnt the most reliable or get frequent brown outs i would recommend getting a ups. its essentially a big battery but when plugged into things like a computer or console. it allows you to safely shutoff your device in case you loose power. (I personally recommend either APC or Cyberpower )

Second, be mindful of what you are plugging into your device/console. a few things like an external drive, keyboard , ect is fine but if you plug in alot of devices such as more drives or other peripherals that are power hungry you could risk power issues with your console because it can only use/draw so much power

My last tip would be to clean your console from time to time (maybe once or twice every 6 months , this really depends on a few factors) dont use a vaccume cleaner as static may be an issue. id recommend going to a store or even amazon to get a can of condensed air (usually just called a duster )
