in order to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to a PC you will require a wireless receiver, the 360 controllers do not support bluetooth.

The Xbox 360 Console, doesn't support Bluetooth & only the Wireless Bluetooth Headsets are capable of a Bluetooth connection to Bluetooth Devices etc..

You will need to use your Apple USB cable to connect to the Xbox 360 Console..

this is because the elite controller connects via Bluetooth to the console improving the consoles connection and faster game play, if the headset is compatible with Xbox the console cannot determine if the console is talking to a controller or a headset
hence why it wakes up, the couple of options are unplug the console or buy a Bluetooth jammer that plugs into your console to stop interference. unfortunately there isn’t any known fixes for this.
