    Connection needed for a DVD?


    I know services are down. Got kicked from Netflix with the services error message. Same for Hulu. Put in a DVD (not a bluray so it shouldn't be a codec issue) and about 30 seconds in the app closed with the same message. Surely this isn't real, surely
    I'm missing something and I don't need to be verified to play a ten year old DVD, right?

    Being good with a shotgun...

    Yup, COD is a connection based fps. Some skills needed, but connection is king (however its acquired).

    Yes that was my thinking also Carolina. ISP for some reason is restricting his connection for whatever reason. A phone call to them should be all that's needed.

    Have you tried the offline mode in network settings?

    My nephew doesn't have internet and he watches DVD's & Blu-Ray's every day.

    You may have to clear the memory cache also.

    Have you tried the offline mode in network settings?

    My nephew doesn't have internet and he watches DVD's & Blu-Ray's every day.

    You may have to clear the memory cache also.

    Why won't my Xbox one play my dvd without an app or Internet?

    you need the Blu-ray app for the Xbox to play DVD/Blu-ray movies, been this way since the beginning, once you have the app you don't need to be connected.

    Hi GerardSutton,

    If you know some one with a DVD ROM drive, I would suggest to copy the DVD to a USB STICK, make note of the CD Key, because that will be needed to install the game from the stick.

    Another option would be to get a USB adapter to connect your "old" DVD ROM drive to a USB port.
