Connection issue... please help

Seems whenever I try to join a free mode session or sometimes a mission, it kicks me out and says "connection to the active gta online session lost due to an unknown network error. Please return to grand theft auto 5 and try again later."

I know it's not an internet issue because my buddy in the other room never has problems getting in free mode sessions or missions.

What do I do?

connection issue-PLEASE HELP

Been playing on xbox live for more than two months, almost no problems. Played also earlier today. Now i am having problems connecting to xbox live. First it says that my profile can`t connect, that i should download it again to fix it. This has never happened
before, and i didnt do anything special to cause this, i switched off the box normally earlier today. I now ran multipple connection tests, everything is connected except the xbox live. Gives me a suggestion to restart my modem/router which i have done 10
times. Didnt help. All the other devices on the network are on the internet without problems.

I will answer all of those questions even though, as i said, i have pleyed without problems for two months, latest this morning.

I live in Norway. Using a bridged connection via my laptop to get the xbox online..and have been using this without problems. I do not encounter any error codes. Router allows UpnP..again..i have been playing for a long time. No one touched the router nor
the modem. I do not get any notifications suggesting i have a NAT error.

When i run a connection test it says LIVE Connection Error..unplug the power from the router or modem for 30 second...and so on. I have done this 10 times and it doesnt help.

Live Connection Issue Please Help

Hey guys, that error code indicates a temporary issue with sign-up. Are you both having this issue as of today?

 

1. clear your cache 3 times

2. (if you have access to your email the email on the account) delete your profile, clear the cache 3 times, restart the console, redownload profile.

3. go to the additional settings tab and select restore to default settings

4. if problems persist, or if you have any questions, send me a message on xbox live or call 1.800.4MY.XBOX (469.9269)

 

I had the same problem but a little bit different, sometimes when i joined the free mode session everybody left the lobby, it must be do with internet or server problem. I can give you the tip that worked for me so hopefully it works for you. You need the
internet cable plugged into the xbox to router then reset the router for 30 seconds then reconnect then it be fine hopefully this help you.

I'm having the same problem. I've reset my router, cleared the system cache, deleted the title update and redownloaded it. Nothing seems to be working.

 

It could just be R*'s servers are having a "hissy fit". Just keep trying, and if it keeps acting up, it might just be the servers aren't working well for that particular night.

 

... this has been happening for me almost everytime I go to play GTA Online on Xbone. No problems with the 360 version (and my connection is secure for PS3/4 and PC).

For the record, I have done the suggestions of Z4ZonE and no dice.

I'm still having this problem. My other games work fine but Online on GTAV won't. Only one of my friends can get it working

 

It's not just GTAV Legend... but that's the main one. Battlefield 4 and Tomb Raider DE, I have the same connection issues with them on Xbone as well. Yet on Xbox 360, no problem whatsoever.

 

Oh, wow. Not just GTA: V? Other games on XB1 as well?

And yet people wonder why they came up with the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!", and by that I'm referring to the creation of the current-gen consoles compared to last-gen. I understand that "times change" and "you can't stop progression", but
if you have a product that is working well and you have a system that is working just fine, there's no need to try and change it.

Hard to state my argument here, but what I'm trying to say is this:

-From what you've explained about XB1 so far, Death, it seems that old is beating out new so far.

-Why M$ and Sony had to make such a jump to current-gen when there was mostly still years left in last-gen consoles is beyond me.

-Was it for better graphics and more player slots? Well, with connection issues such as described above, it doesn't seem like those novelties hold much ground anymore.

...and at this point I'm just rambling so I'll end here...

 

I agree with legend. I thought I was the only one who was noticing how the xbox one has way more problems than the xbox 360, and its not just the connectivity. its the controller drifting, the disc drive not reading, the power supply not working, etc...
the xbox one has more problems than a kia rio or an old ford.

technology seems to be moving faster and faster now days, but so fast that its not even stable anymore. the xbox one and the ps4 were definitely rushed, i guess to get out the graphics for the games that are worth buying because im seeing more indie games
than anything. buying an xbox one is more of a risk of losing 500 than spending it because your really risking getting a console that will not work. i know theres always a chance of that, but dang though, the xbox one has a BIG chance of that.
