Connection issue after update

I have recently bought and installed Halo Wars 2 however, when i go to play with my friends i seem to be disconnecting from the Halo Wars 2 online service. i had installed the game after my friends and they had told me that there was an update that fixed
the issue but i still can't connect. i have tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, hard resetting my Xbox but nothing seems to work. Please can you help me i don;t want to have wasted £45,

DESPERATE for help !

for anyone with controller issues, this popped up in tonight's preview update.
A fix to address an issue for users who find their controller will no longer connect via a wireless connection, and only works over USB. If this has occurred to you, after taking this system update, you will be able to connect your controller via a USB cable and wait a few seconds before unplugging it. This will recover your controller and you will be able to connect wirelessly. It is expected that subsequent controller firmware updates will fail. This will be addressed in a later system update.

 

Controller connection issue after update

Since the last update, the only way the controller will work with my xbox one is to restart my console. It will then work fine, however as soon as I turn off the controller and turn it back on, the light on the controller blinks for a little then goes solid,
like there is a connection. However anything I push on the controller nothing will happen. If I take out the batteries and put them back in, it still will not work. I have to restart the console once again.

Has anyone else have this issue? I have new batteries and updated the controller as well. I was only a few feet from my console as well but I still have the issue. Can someone help?

I'm sorry to see any connection issues! We haven't seen many reports of this. Are you able to clarify on when you get the disconnection, and what exactly happens? For example, you launch up the game and then it disconnects you with an error message. If you
do receive an error message, having a screenshot of that will help out a lot.

It will also be helpful to take a look at your network set up to ensure there's nothing going on there. We can start with your detailed network statistics, and if I need anything else I'll ask. You can get these by going to Settings > All settings
> Network > Network settings > Detailed network statistics.

We'll be able to start from there. I look forward to working with you!

Hi,

I have tried to check my network settings like you said but the issue keeps coming. When i load up Halo Wars 2 it will load to the menu section but something will pop up saying connecting to servers which will then fail and the pop up will go to which in
the top right hand corner a tab will appear saying connecting, connected then disconnected. Here is the screen shot. Thanks for all your help,

Download speed: 19.08 Mbps

Upload speed:5.90

Packet loss: 0%

MTU: 1480

Latency: 156ms

Wireless strength: 94%

That latency is pretty high, and I'm wondering if it's because of your wireless strength. But you have no packet loss and your download/upload speeds are good.

Two questions: Are you able to test out wired? Do you know how to change the wireless channel in your router? These both should improve these connections.

If you can go wired, great! Let me know the results of that, including what the detailed network statistics look like after that.

If you don't know how to change the wireless channel in your router, post back with the manufacturer and model number of that. I can help walk you through that.
