    Connection Help


    I just got my first ever Xbox off my buddy and I am having problems having it show up on my PC. I thought the problem was a hardware issue, so I went to the tv and hooked it up there; it worked perfectly, so I don't know what is going on. It might be a software
    issue, but after following multiple help pages, it should be working perfectly, so I am at a loss and any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Connection problem - HELP

    Hey guys,
    So it's been about a year since I bought my Xbox 360 (newer generation), and my Xbox Live connection works 2 days out of 3. I use wireless connection. My Xbox is pretty far from my router, but when I connect to a network, my router shows up and there are usually around 4 bars. When I click on "test connection", this is where it tells me that the console is unable to connect.
    Did anyone had this problem before?

    Are you sharing internet connection? Because this "both have open NAT types" sounds like you are sharing internet.

    Connection help

    Since you've got Halo 4, chuck it in and let it tell you what your NAT type is. If it's Open, you shouldn't have any problems (though you can actually have a few problems). If it's Moderate you can only connect to other Moderate or Open players and Strict
    NAT players can only connect to Open NAT players.

    .

    If your NAT type is Open, tell them to check theirs. If it isn't, look into opening yours, it really does help.

    Have you checked your NAT types? If it is closed that means you won't be able to connect to them.

    Is it comcasts ? is it a modem and router in one (a gateway) ?....1st thing I would try would be to try it hardwired and eliminate if its a wireless problem or not..

    get some model numbers and a brand from the router and we'll find out what it is....
