    Connection/Bitrate question... Twitch


    I tested twitch a few weeks ago and set it up and I chose the reccomended setting which were well over the highest setting for streaming.



    I was testing out Fifa 14, and friend on my friends list said it was really clear but we kinda get a pause for a second...

    My broadband is 200DL/10UL.



    Is that good enough for twitch?? I can use Netflix and play games online and Netflix never takes a dip.

    Any ideas??

    twitch will remain on top. Youtube offers a much better streaming service than twitch allowing you to put high ass bitrate for great quality, yet everyone is still on twitch.

    Xbox One Twitch Bitrate?

    Hello everyone, hopefully someone out there can help me.

    I've always wanted to start Twitch Streaming and I thought i'll jump on the band wagon, had a little test with it a few months back i got a Recommended Bitrate of 1404kbps (was hoping for more so i decided to leave it for abit)

    Nothing has changed since then and now when I go to get a recommended Bitrate, its says its recommend at 400kbps which is Lower than the low setting of 800kbps.

    I've tried little tricks like turning all devices off so its not using wi-fi (due to location of my xbox i can't have it wired) and tried different times of the day and night at it still sits at 400kbps

    Does anybody know how to increase the Bitrate so I can stream a Higher quality??

    You have 200mbps download but only 10 upload? Seems a bit low on the upstream speed for a high download speed package. Anyway...

    Upload speeds you should aim for are:

    3 Mb/s - 4.5 Mbs for HD — High definition 720p resolution video

    5 Mb/s - 9 Mb/s for HDX — Full high definition 1080p resolution video and high definition audio

    Remember, take into account that what the ISP tells you that you get and what you get can vary as the ISP takes more users at peak hours etc. Also if playing Multiplayer games you need to account for the game traffic too.

    Ye I am not sure why my upload is that low. But thats the standard where I live. I have no caps though which is a good thing.

    Upload speeds on twitch on XB1 are maxed out at about 2Mb/s I think, and twitch reccomends my broadband can handle 2.5Mb/s

    I wonder if anyone else gets higher settings

    I'm going to bump this again now that someone else has seen it. Still having an issue. I've learned that it's not my internet. The app is creating a lag between my Xbox and twitch somewhere. Even switching to the lowest quality possible doesn't help. My
    average eventually gets below the low quality threshold. How else is this happening when my average is always way higher than the next step down?

    I'm having the same problem as well.. wish someone could figure this out... i usually start a stream in "excellent" then after refreshing every so often it drops down to "acceptable" 7 mbps upload.. twitch app always recommends 2500 kbps which i believe
    is the highest xbox can go.. someone please help us!
