Connecting XBox App to EA Play (while having an Ultimate Pass on my sons child account)

My son has an Ultimate Pass, it is through his child account under my parent profile (Family)

He logs into his XBox App on PC using his child account and this gives him the access he needs to the Ultimate Pass for the Microsoft games.

When he links his XBox App account to his EA Account the EA link connects with my parent account and not his child account. So when he goes to download and play an EA Play game it tells him that the accounts don't match.

Any advice on how to get the EA Account to connect to the child account?

Hi there! After doing some research, it appears that EA Play on PC is done via the EA Desktop Application. Since I do not own EA Play, I am unable to verify this. The EA Desktop app can be downloaded from this link. Could you please try it out and update as to what happens?

EA play is only included with game pass ultimate. Any EA games that are in game pass itself must be accessed via their app with your connected account

What will happen to my subscriptions if I already have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & EA Play on Xbox?

When the EA Play member benefit unlocks for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, users who have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play purchased through the Microsoft Store will have their EA Play membership canceled and any remaining time over 50 days will
be rounded up and converted to the nearest month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 3:1.

For example, if you have between 50 days and 3 months of EA Play already on your account when EA Play comes to Ultimate, you will have 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to your account. If you have between 4 months and 6 months of EA Play already on
your account when EA Play comes to Ultimate, you will have 2 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to your account.

You have to create a new profile for your child to use . Me and my son share my game pass ultimate account and he has to have his own profile active to play at the same time as me . If he signs in to my profile it while im gaming it will sign me out .

i have fixed this issue but another has come, when i download battlefield 2042 or any ea play game on the xbox app, it pulls up the ea play desktop app and tells me to join ea play which i thought came with xbox game pass (not ultimate), while battlefield is stuck in the preparing 0% phase and then it suddenly disappears without showing an error code. i am absolutely sure that i have connected the xbox account to the correct ea account on ea.myaccount , i have contacted a live chat guy from ea and he tells me to contact you guys. please help me this is confusing
