    That's not possible, no. If it were it would be a very poor experience too for playing games.

    what is the reason for wanting to connect without HDMI?

    Isn't miracast done through the Television itself (Or a device connected to the Television)? If your device is Miracast enabled and your Television is Miracast enabled you should be good to go.

    Fyi I setup windows media center in 5mins on my first try back in the day

    I can setup DLNA or miscast in seconds

    Pc have.better protocols.now like miracast which most tv's support nowadays it makes mediacenter useless as codecs are no longer restricted like media center was

    You can get apps that are.far superior to.media center and you can do it on your phone rather then old devices that restricts the videos and audio you can use

    Meaning you don't have to convert your videos to the limited formats and codecs that xbox 360 and media center was restricted to

    Basically your phone or laptop would play a lot more then anything xbox 360 media center could ever play and you could play it on your smart tv

    Miracast would reduce the amount of devices you need

    Basically your broadcasting device and your tv vs mediacenter your PC to xbox 360 to tv and that's if you have the supported movies (mediacenter was limited to official codecs and legal ones )

    Multiple apps and devices can do more then old devices that are extremely limited

    Windows mediaplayer doesn't even need mediacenter anymore

    You cast to tv phones consoles etc via miracast nowadays

    You could've downloaded vlc before the shutdown and done miracast on Xbox 360

    No, the wireless display app will only work as a projection (a second screen), like plug a PC into a TV using Miracast or a HDMI, this means the controling stuff (mouse and keyboard) still needs to be connected to the PC or phone to be able to use them.

    Note: This app has been getting some reports of lag and a bit of delay from the main screen to the one you receive in the app.
