    Congratulations! Xbox Insider Program is shutting down, you did it!


    Not really,

    What's the goal with all these discussions and discontent threads surging on the subreddit?

    • You want the program to close?
    • You want the user base to be reduced? (Do we even know how many people are enrolled per ring whatsoever?)
    • You want a service ticket system where you get feedback of each reports you present?
    • You want to discourage people to join the program?

    Yes, I sometimes complain about the issues here or the new features I spotted here and there too, sometimes getting over 600 Upvotes and other times getting -40 upvotes, is normal you can't be 100% blindfolded supporting something or can't be 100% against anything they do.

    If you did not read the ToS before joining the program... Well, wake up morning call:

    --> The software can be faulty, can harm the hardware and does not represent the final product the general audience will receive. <--

    The common answer we use here is, just un-enroll if you are facing issues, because we don't know what else to do when these things happens. There's no option to return to the previous OS version (or USB / HDD recovery like Windows has) and most likely it will never be possible.

    Does MSFT dev team will make an statement of the situation of the program, the roadblocks ahead, the current goals and whatever they thing is relevant for us?

    WHO KNOWS

    They are humans after all, I know a few of them due the interaction we have had due some issues and feedbacks submitted, they are listening to our problems, but they also have to read all what you write. I even wouldn't be surprised if some of you even report issues with death threats to the dev teams.

    TL;DR: There's no shame if you want to quit from the program, this things happens and will happen again in some time from now on. Just don't be toxic about it.

    Help with Atmos & Dolby

    You may also want to know that Dolby Atmos in the insider program is currently having issues. That could be why your Dolby device is having issues with the Xbox One. Dolby are aware of the issues with it and are investigating as to why this is happening.

    You should also report this issue using the Xbox Insider Hub. Press the Xbox button down on the controller until the shut down option pops up, then select report a problem, and continue from there.

    Repeating Updates

    Hi, two things if you're in the Xbox Insider Program. So you may get some Beta Update that can cause an error, so it's Beta.

    If you're not in this program, try clearing the console cache. To do this, hold the Power Button on the console for 10 seconds. The console shuts down immediately, clearing the cache.

    don't know why you mention PC, i choose when those updates go in.

    xbox, well thats a different story, are you in the insider program if so then you have given permission to update as and when.

    if not then is your xbox set to fully shut down or sleep only.

    Hey there, sc1hick!

    Sorry to see any issues with Hulu shutting down the console. There haven't been any other reports of this, so an update likely wouldn't resolve what you're running into.

    Have you already uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the console? You state that it shuts down your controllers, which would be expected if the console was shut off, however you then mention that you could boot the console up with the Xbox App on your
    phone. Does this mean that the controllers won't even power on your console after it's shut off? Do you have to sync the controllers after the console is turned back on?
