    Confusing xbox one S connection issues?


    Xbox One S. If i run my wired connection from my hitron modem/router and bypass all router settings the gameplay is worse. If I'm still wired, but set up a static ip and run connection from my modem/router, and enable dmz, it plays better. Any clue why router settings are actually better? You would think reducing the connection to just a modem would be cleaner and not having to deal w ports Tx for any help

    Yes, absolutely.

    In case there's confusion, the Bluetooth part in the controller is only for connecting it to a Windows PC. Bluetooth is not used on the Xbox One S, as the console does not actually have a Bluetooth chip.

    The Xbox One S controller still connects to the console with the same wireless protocol as any standard Xbox One controller.

    It even works vice versa! You can also connect a regular Xbox One controller to an Xbox One S.

    You can use a regular Xbox One controller on an Xbox One S console, and you can use an Xbox One S controller on a regular Xbox One console.

    All controllers connect to the Xbox console the same way, via proprietary RF.

    If you are confused because of the addition of Bluetooth in the Xbox One S, just know that Bluetooth is only built into the Xbox One S controller (there is actually no bluetooth functionality in the Xbox One S console itself). The Bluetooth in the controller
    is just a secondary method of wireless connectivity designed solely for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth (without the need of a
    USB adapter). It connects to the Xbox One/One S the same way as the original controllers do.

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately, the elite controller does not currently have Bluetooth functionality. The only controller versions that do are the Xbox one S and X generations. Very sorry for the confusion there but, the adapter will be necessary for wireless connection.

    I do completely understand what you're saying and it make sense. I think the reason it is how it is right now is because whilst they have been changes with the Xbox One S it is still essential the same console as the Xbox One in terms or operation and there's
    not much difference accessories wise between them
