Confirmation on Reusing Gmail Address for Microsoft Account

Just to confirm, are you still on the process of migrating your Mojang account to a Microsoft account? Or are you still creating a Microsoft account using your Gmail address to link your Mojang account to it?

deleting and reusing the email account is dependent on which country/region you are in, in the EU and the UK once an email address or an alias is deleted it can never be used again due to privacy laws. this has been confirmed by Microsoft too.

Please note that Gmail service is from Google while a Microsoft account is from Microsoft. Those accounts are separate and do not rely on each other. If your Gmail address is your Microsoft account's primary alias, it is used only like a username to log into your Microsoft account. Even if your Gmail address was deleted, your Microsoft account will stay active but you may have trouble accessing it or verifying it in a matter of time if Microsoft will ask you to verify your account by sending a code to your Gmail address. But it's not necessarily that you have the same password unless you set it correctly the same before.

Tommy, I had created the original account at sign-in. I created another account (using a Gmail address) through the Accounts page on the Settings app. I deleted that account from the same place, then I managed to log in on my Firefox InPrivate browser and attempted to recreate that account through the website (account.microsoft.com) and was told I could not reuse that email. Is there any way to get around that?
