    Completely turn off xbox one password


    My young son has an xbox one. I was forced to create a microsoft account in order for him to play a video game console. I configured the xbox to remember the password by setting sign in preferences to no bars, but on occasion, it still asks for the password.
    An example is after doing a system update. As soon as the update completes and the xbox turns on, it asks for that F* password. There was one occasion where I no longer knew the password, and my kid was locked out of playing the console.

    How can I configure the xbox, so that it NEVER, under any circumstances, ever asks for the password. This seems not possible.

    I'm not sure if you've tried this, but you could go Settings>Sign-in, securty, & passkey>Change my sign-in & security preferences. From there, go to Customize and see if it says "Password saved" under the "Save your password" option.

    That is a great idea about the trigger. I took a look and it only has the trigger out on my projector for the screen. No trigger for turning the projector on and off. I think I'm just going to be stuck with it the way it is for now until I find a way to
    do it over rs232 or something and have the xbox trigger that.

    Xbox one turning projector completely off.

    The way I have my projector wired is with a 12v trigger from my amp. Most amp/receivers will have a "trigger out" that you can hook up a cable that looks like a headphone 1/8" cable. Does your projector have a "trigger in"?

    When my amp turns on, it sends a signal down the cable and the projector automatically turns on. Same with off. You can tell the xbox to ignore the projector and the amp will take of it.

    I turned off completely my xbox one, and the problem was gone, before that I turned off the energy saving mode and turned on again
