Completely locked out of my account. Where do I go from here?

Hello to anyone who has clicked on this! For nearly the past month, I have been locked out of my outlook/xbox/microsoft account. I used a vpn, which triggered microsoft to log me out on all devices, with the only way in being to use a phone number that I no longer have. I tried contacting support, but after a couple of days of waiting to hear back from them, they just told me to fill out a recovery form (which I had previously told them I already had, and it didnt work), or to just make an entirely new account. This microsoft account has had hundreds of dollars spend on it for games as well as thousands of hours in said games, so im not just going to give up on it. Is there any way of potentially regaining access to it?

Yes, I did absolutely everything on there, yet it still says I don’t have enough information, I feel like it might be saying I don’t have enough information just because of things like the fact that I haven’t ever sent an email thru the account, or I can’t provide any previous passwords (the password has never changed on the account). Would I at least have somewhat of a chance if I got on a call with a Microsoft support person rather than email support?

That form is the only way to get an account back but given your situation I would give it a shot.

Hello,

As far as I know it's not possible to just simply bypass this. You will need to either
try the password reset link again, or
fill out the reset form again.

If neither are working, you will need to reach out to the Microsoft account team
here and make a post. When making a post, please be sure to tell them that your password reset link is not being sent or received they might be able
to manually send you one.

This is not something that Xbox Support via phone/chat can help you with as this is a Microsoft Account issue.

I spoke with a gentleman at the 800 number. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took the relevant information and set up a case. Hopefully, someone will contact us soon. Thank you all for your replies.
