Compatible headsets for Xbox series X

So I bought my son the new Xbox series X for Christmas. He went to use his headset that he has (that was used with his Xbox one) and it wouldn't work/connect??

Looking more into this we see that there's no bluetooth option to connect the headset??! Why is this?

So I thought ok I'll buy him a new headset and I found one (turtle beach stealth 600 Gen 2) it says it's compatible with the series X. But yet we already know that we can't connect the one we currently have??? And it's the same one (which I didn't realize that at first)

So my question is... WHAT THE HECK AM I SUPPOSE TO DO???! Do i need an adapter? Am I missing something here or what?! I'm at a loss here and I'm irritated and just want my son to be able to play and talk with his buddies after I spent almost $600 on this for him.

    Thank you for your help!

    Sincerely,

One very upset and confused mom

    :)

    Xbox series X - AUDIO - USB vs 3.5mm headphones - Quality & Latency

I understand you about the xbox license.

I rather not want to have a wireless headset because I dont like charging and the battery life will decrease over time. So that leave me with two options:
    1. Wired, 3.5mm into the Xbox series x controller
    2. Wired, usb, into the Xbox series X

I checked the microsoft store and there are only 2 compatible series X headsets. Both wireles.

Do you know any wired Xbox series X headset? That is compatible with the series x? I prefer USB but have to go 3.5mm otherwise.

    FONE BLUETOOTH [Bluetooth Headset]

    Sinceramente,

    Hello Luvniu,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Bluetooth Headset.

To isolate your issue, we need to ask a few questions to understand better

    1. Are you trying to connect your JBL Bluetooth headset to the Xbox console?
    2. Are you trying to connect multiple audio sources? (Phone + Xbox console + PC?)
    3. Have you tried to connect with a wired connection, or other headphones?
The Xbox One console does not feature Bluetooth functionality. You won’t be able to connect your headset to the console using Bluetooth. Check to see if your headset is compatible with the Xbox console. Some examples of compatible 3rd party headsets include:

Here are additional links related to your question:

    3rd Party Headset

The Cloud revolver is a wired headset, the usb dongle is a mini sound card, the headset plugs into it with the 3.5mm connector.

With my tests it is compatible with PS5 and PC, so I don't understand why the 7.1 is not available on X series.

The manufacturer's manual gives a compatibility for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and mobile
