    Compatibility for physical edition of borderlands from Xbox 360


    I bought the physical edition of borderlands

    The disc was a little bit scratched I will admit

    Luckily I only paid $4 for it

    I bought another one from a more trustable place

    For $4 again

    This one is Game of the Year edition

    Both are not playing it keeps bringing up the whole compatibility screen..

    I need help

    Or am I going to buy the digital version only

    I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues, If you're trying to play the games on an Xbox One or Xbox Series console, the Game of the Year Edition is unfortunately not backwards compatible and can only be played on Xbox 360.

    The regular edition is backwards compatible, but it's very possible that the issue is due to physical damage to the disc.

    Borderlands DLC disc won't read.

    If you own the physical disc with the DLC's, the DLC's are not added to your account's purchase history.

    "Borderlands: For all editions, DLC comes included on Xbox One. For the Game of the Year edition, accessing DLC doesn’t require you to insert the DLC disc on Xbox One. Only your purchased DLC, however, will be usable on Xbox 360."

    DO NOT BUY BORDERLANDS OR MIDNIGHT CLUB FROM GoD!

    You can get GotY/Complete editions that have all the DLC for the same price at a physical store.

    Xbox 1 playing 360 games

    Its only digital versions that are backwards compatible not physical edition discs. You must purchase a digital copy from the store or if you own a downloaded copy on your 360 you can find it in the ready to download section on the xbox one in my games
    and apps.
