Communications Ban (14 Days)

Hello, I need a bit of help as I still dont know exactly whats going on right now, im really confused and need some help. I got a 14 day communications ban, which this time I know is not my fault. I was checking what consoles my Xbox Live account was on
(which I typically do every now and then just to make sure mine wasnt on one that I didnt authorize or know about.) And I found out that a "friend" of mine had somehow put my account on his Xbox. What really concerned me was that I never gave any of my information
out so I have zero clue how he could possibly have gotten both the email and password. Just to clarify, I never gave any information out to anyone. The only people who have my accoung on their Xbox I put in with my permission and I also put the account on
myself. So I called him, telling him to take my account off. He got upset about it and got angry. So while I was at school he logged on, sending spam and profanity so I would get reported and banned. Which happened. I just wanted to know that since I dont
think im technically responsible (because I never gave out my information chances are he did some sort of hacking to steal it from me) I just wanted to know that if I could get the ban appealed or reduced since this was done without my knowledge or consent?

I'm afraid you're probably not going to like this answer, but here goes ...

Ultimately, your account access is your responsibility. Microsoft provides tools that require you to sign in with your password or a passkey on remote consoles, thus blocking others from accessing your account. So if your account was not set to require a password/key,
then unfortunately you weren't hacked. You're free to submit a case review at the
Enforcement site and submit your facts, but I don't believe it will be overturned. I wish you luck.

enforcement.xbox.com and see if you can apply for a case review.

Sorry to hear about the situation, but the Xbox live code of conduct
is there to create an environment that is friendly for everyone! Xbox is a very family oriented company! There are many children who play Xbox as well and the code of conduct
is set in place to encourage good sportsmanship and positive communication!

Please be advised that the Enforcement team does not ban an account without reason as posted under the
Myth section
for enforcement. (Do not be a toxic player and use profanity, because you can be suspended for that.)

If you run into a toxic player then Report, Block and Ignore the user, and do not engage them.

(Enforcement does not see anyone as Defending themselves, they look towards the Code only.)

(Just remember that you are allowed to say and do what you want, but there will be repercussions for voiding the Code of conduct)

From my knowledge, if you caught 14 days it was for more than 'one bad word'. Remember, once reported a wide variety of your comms may be investigated. That said, I hope you do file an successful appeal, good luck.
