    Thanks for responding to the last post saying I should contact EA. Since that thread is locked, I shall respond here. EA says it's not their problem and to contact Microsoft. What this shows is a huge lack of customer support as EA says it's a Windows
    phone issue:

    "Due to Microsoft's refund policy and the nature of the Windows Phone platform, we are unable to make cash refunds or in-game reimbursements. If you require a refund, please contact Windows Phone Support who can access your purchase history and start the refund
    process for you."

    And Microsoft says they won't refund as they already refunded once this year for this issue.

    I agree the issue is with EA store. The Microsoft Store accepts the payment and passes the transaction off to EA store. The EA store throws errors and never produces the item purchased. This them puts the user in a bad state as well as the game. All
    because of a breakdown between the two stores that started on July 15th and two companies that both say not their problem.

    Solution seems to be either never ever do any ingame purchases on a windows phone with an EA game, Never purchase a windows phone, or never purchase an EA game. Not sure what's the best option as both companies are showing they don't care about the customer.

    Steps to repro:

    On a windows 10 phone with an xbox account, download the sims freeplay for xbox.

    enter the game, make an in game purchases using your xbox account.

    Microsoft will confirm purchase was made

    EA will error all over the place, you won't get the ingame purchase, but your credit card will be charged.

    This has been happening since July 15th. EA said to uninstall and reinstall their game. That didn't fix it. Microsoft support said they will refund one item per year only per account. So if you make a purchases, get confirmation from Microsoft store
    that they charged your card, then get an error from EA saying the purchase failed, there's nothing you can do. No refund and no item purchased. Wish someone would remove the functionality from Microsoft Store so you couldn't purchase items EA is unable to

    i dont think sims 4 is available on the microsoft store for windows, you would need to get a refund and purchase from EA Origin or Steam

    Unfortunately, expansion packs for The Sims 4 are not available on the Microsoft Store or the Xbox App for PC. If you are playing this game on the Xbox App via EA Play, you'll need to purchase the expansion packs from EA instead.

    There's some confusion here. Have you bought the Sims 4 for console or have you purchased it for use on your PC?

    If you've bought it on the Microsoft Store with the intention of playing on PC you can't. Microsoft does not sell The Sims 4 for PC. You'll need a refund. If you want it for PC you need to buy it either via Steam (EA games are now sold there) or directly
    from EA via the PC origin Store.
