Communication ban ended but game chat still won't work

Hello,

I was communication banned for 24 hours which has since ended. I have double checked enforcement website to make sure the ban has been lifted.

They have restored most of the functionality, such as party chat, and text / in game messaging. However, I still have no access to game chat. I play Call of Duty, and it still shows a red X through the microphone icon. I cannot talk, or hear other players - or even see when they are talking.

I have tried the recommended trouble shooting - which seems to be removing my profile, restarting xbox, and re-adding the profile.

I cannot speak to anyone at Xbox to fix this issue - and have noticed many other players have had the same issue.

is there an actual solution to this issue, or anyone who can fix it? I am surprised such a large company cannot figure out how to conduct enforcement properly. I have served my time and should have all of my communications restored.

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > General > Network setting > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address: clear

Then, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps

22 days since my ban ends!!! And still work, i cant communicate in party with my friends

Yeah but you can try reinstalling it if it's just a particular game and refresh your console as well.
Please Turn off console > (press and hold power button for 10 seconds) unplug everything from the console > wait for 2 minutes and plug everything back > Turn On the console.

I have not, but wouldn’t i also have gotten some form of notification saying the game had also suspended my communication privileges?

*Edit: Game chat seems to be working for Warzone just not Cold War specifically.
