Comm banned for reporting a cheater

Today I am comm banned for a day after messaging a cheater today on the Xbox live. Playing battlefield V we were in a game where the objective was to plant explosives on objectives. The player grabbed the explosives but was deliberately staying behind so
that the whole team could not move on the objective, and we lost the game.

I sent him/her a message out of anger ("****") and used the application to report him/her as a cheater… And got banned for it.

So let me tell you something and ask another:

My message was inappropriate and i understand the ban for it.

How is it that Microsoft ruins my gamer experience and in a way rewards the cheaters by letting them play? How is it that my Customer experience is ruined by cheaters AND Microsoft after paying my 60€ per year, buying all those games on the market, actively
participating on promoting the Xbox around me and so on… By the way this is 60€ minus 1 day of ban. Am i paying for a service i can't use?

My automatic subscribtion is cancelled and i will definetly look for another platform to play my games and give my money where it's rewarded.

If you report a player data is sent to enforcement and they review it and act as necessary. Reporting a gamer for cheating can take a fair amount of time to investigate.

I have had many messages full of profanity, accusing me of cheating. I have never cheated and all I can put their rants down to, is playing better than them and having good intuition.

So the advice stands, report, block and move on.

I was pointing out the fact that all platforms have a code of conduct that they enforce, if you get reported. So it is relevant as you are choosing to leave Xbox for one suspension. That is entirely your choice.

They don't ban people for reporting cheaters. You admitted breaking the code of conduct. Your report will be investigated. You should have just reported/blocked the other player and moved on without responding to them. Yes, you will have to continue
to pay for your Gold. There is no pause in service. Other services also have a code of conduct that you have to adhere to.

You should log into the enforcement team website for information where you can also submit a case review if the suspension is eligible.

The best course of action is to simply Report and Block the player. Never retaliate.

Regardless of the situation, you should always abide by the Xbox Live
Code of Conduct. The rules will be the same for PlayStation or any other platform.
