Gamers are the #1 priority as they/we are the ones that buy the games publishers and developers create and sell. Gamers don't buy=Bankruptcy and end of the other two "customers" as you call them, therefore the only real customer that matters is the GAMERS.
Therefore the only customer that is ALWAYS right are the ones buying their products.

there's already a thread for custom games lobbies. might i suggest looking there. we're having a customs night tonight, if you would all like to join.

when you start the game and your in the menu and customize then join a game your settings should stay.

but it you have played a game and then customize and exit, when you start the game again those settings will be back to where they were before.

you really need to be more specific on when and were this is happening? also what are defaults?

To join the insider programme all you have to do is download the "Xbox insider hub" on your Xbox one, custom gamer pics are only currently available to the alpha ring within the programme, they will be released to everyone else long before you get there.
