    Hey Prince!

A network port lets your Xbox One console communicate with the Xbox Live servers and other Xbox One consoles over the Internet. Not all routers
come with the ports open necessary for the console to work because not all routers are meant for gaming. To let your Xbox One console communicate with Xbox Live, you might have to open or forward
ports, which means you'll be making a configuration change to your firewall or network hardware, such as a router. Port forwarding for Xbox One is done on your router or other network hardware, not on the Xbox console itself.

So after all these steps were attempted, did it work?

    :)

Xbox One Wifi - Need Help connecting

I have my Xbox One in my room and the WiFi we use is Optimum Online (for those who don't know its like Fios, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Etc) so normally when you connect you need to login normally thru a window to type in the login username and password. On the PS4 it connects then i sign in thru the Internet Browser but Xbox doesn't allow me to do it.

How Do i sign in and connect with the Optimum WiFi on my Xbox One or what exactly do I need to do?

  3. Xbox Live Limited Service/Down

Xbox Live down? Current status and problems | Downdetector

Many people are reporting it's down in some areas. My xbox connects to the internet, when I run the test it comes up with 22.1 Mbps, but can't sign into a profile. I'm on my PC right now connected to the internet. Tried the hard boot, tried to make a new profile, but it says can't connect to services. Like I said, it's not down everywhere, thanks for understanding the post, also say what region your in please, otherwise you provide no useful information.

I recommend having an Xbox connection over a wired network connection. It is more reliable and faster. Wireless connection is not very reliable.

  6. Same thing happening to me since yesterday. Worked fine all day tuesday then i shut it off went to bed and the next morning (yesterday morning) wasnt working at all. I currently use a bright house networks hotspot for my wireless connection (i get that most
people would find this connection unreliable but it has never caused any problems, doesnt usually buffer even) its connecting to the network with no issue, says “its all good” when i go to retest it but on thr home page the box with “connect to xbox live”
is still up and netflix or any app that requires internet wont run. Weirdly enough when i press the home button to bring up the settings tab, usually if im not connected to wifi it would tell me to “connect to live” at the bottom of the tab there too but it
isnt, only on the home page. When i go back to network settings, under the network status the NAT type is unavailable says xbox.com/xboxone/teredo

the following services are experiencing issue: (lists nothing)

and it tells me to go to the status site to see if the servers are down or something (which i have, and theyre not) when i test the nat type on the right it comes back as strict and multiplayer connection wont even test it just says try again

  7. ALSO ive done just about everything ive read to try to do but nothing has helped , nit the hard resets or any of it. I did get it to connect to my phone’s hotspot and it started to act normal, but my phone isnt a strong enough source of internet power
for my xbox to do anything off of it (netflix cant even get through a whole 5 seconds without buffering) i also tried using the xfinity hotspot (with my mothers account info the one i usually use is brighthouse) and the darn thing worked, said i was connected,
nat type showed up as open with all services available but then as soon as i went to the home page and tried to use netflix it stopped working and started acting the exact same way as before so i really dont know what the issue is it just happened randomly
and now for the life of me i cant figure out what to do to fix it

    Hey Esteban,

Unfortunately I had already tried the methods you suggested, but they did not work. Just letting you know that since we last "spoke" I have tried my xbox on a seperate wifi network and it worked. However, using this wifi will not always be an option. Basically
what I'm saying is that I think It's narrowed down to be a wifi issue, not a console issue. I would (again) really appreciate any new ideas you may have regarding my issue.

    Thanks!

Hey fellas! Sounds like the consoles would benefit from
    Port forwarding
. Check the posted information and let us know if the issue persists!

  10. Nestor,

Thank you for your reply! We spent some time digging around port fowarding and ultimately tried to open a few ports that are listed as necessary in order to connect to xbox live. If you have any idea why that would be, or if we need to try something new
    that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey there,

    That's fishy.

Have you tried the wizard on this site “I need help with my Xbox One network connection

I would try first powercycling the console by following the steps here
How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console.

It resolves a lot more problems than you'd think.

Give those links a look through and let us know how that helped with the issue

    Thanks!
