Microsoft teaming with Comcast on Wi-Fi issue

Anybody having Wi-Fi issues with Comcast while playing Xbox One will be glad to know Comcast is working on it. Microsoft is working with them to get ahold on what's causing the issue.

Xbox not changing channels and other issues

I have the same problem. I actually switched my cable box (Comcast RNG110) and entered it in manually by the Comcast and not the model name. Before it wasn't turning on properly. E.g., it wouldn't turn on all the time when I turned on my Xbox. But now that
it works, it does the exact same thing.

Your router will be the one that will control how your Xbox will connect to it.

Usually the main thing to make sure everything is ok is to make sure you have UPNP enabled, this will greatly help with the routing of the network traffic on your LAN with the Xbox.

Make sure your using DHCP and automatic until you get it working, before trying manual settings.

For those that have Comcast, I have Comcast and able to get IPv6.

then that is a Comcast thing, when IPv6 is fully rolled out, every device will have a IPv6 address, and those addresses are going to be handed out by the ISP because then we are back to square one if Comcast is only giving you one IPv6, because then you
will still require a router to provide NAT for the rest of your network, and if that is the case then there is absolutely no reason to be concerned about having IPv6 on your X1.
