    Cold War on Series X/S not working - extortion


    I purchased the base game when it came out and all has been fine. I really didn't care about having the upgraded Series X/S version of the game. When I tried to log on and play today I clicked on the tile to start the game and the screen started to load and then went black. In the Activision forum some one said that they were having the same issue. They said that they went and did the upgrade to the Series X/S version and when the download was done they were able to play the game. This is EXTORTION for us who have the Series X/S. Activision is making us pay more money for a game that I have been playing now since the day it came out. Xbox/Microsoft needs to step in on this issue ASAP. If I buy an Xbox game I should be able to play it. The publisher shouldn't force us to have to pay more money due to the system we have. If I want to play an Xbox 360 game are they going to charge us more money to play because we have the Series X/S? This is not a good business practice.

    Call of Duty Black ops Upgrade to X/S

    From what I can tell, to access the Series X version of the game, you need the Cross-Gen bundle...once you buy that, you should then be able to download and install the Series X version. Without the cross-gen bundle it will, presumably, just install the XB1 version

    From the Store page:

    "For digital owners of the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Standard Edition, this upgrade will unlock the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle, giving access to the Xbox Series X|S version of the game.     Why are the textures so bad in Warzone 2.0 on Xbox Series S?

    In my opinion the graphic is much better on the one x in WZ2.0 and in Cold War. The Series s is faster and you get a higher framerate, but in 1440p it doesnt look as Good as the one x.

    Yes. Xbox One games will be backwards compatible with the Series S/X. There are also games like Valhalla and Cold War that support Smart Delivery. With Smart Delivery, you can buy the games now on the One and you'll be able to download the Series S/X version
    for free.
