    Codes for GoW 1 and 3 not working


    Hi, I bought Gears of War Ultimate Edition and got the Codes for GoW 1-3 and Judgement. GoW 2 and Judgement were worked perfect.

    But the Codes for GoW 1 and 3 are not working.

    Would appreciate if someone could send new codes or tell me what to do.

    gears of war and gears of war 3 redeem code not working

    Just got myself a new copy of GOW 4 and got me some standard codes for GOW 1,2,3,Judgement. Codes not working for GOW 1 and 3. Says some region code error. GOW 2 and Judgement working. Please assist !!

    Gears of War 4 additional game content codes not working

    GOW 1 and GOW3 codes not working. GOW1 and GOW JUDGEMENT codes both work tho.

    What error message/error code do you see when you try redeeming the codes?

    Hi, sorry for the late answer. The message is in German but translates like this:

    Unfortunately an unexpected error happenend. The error was recorded and will be examined. Please try to redeem the code a little bit later.

    I would really like to play the original GoW1 and GoW3 in order to prepare for GoW4.

    Are you physically in germany?

    Your account region must reflect your actual region

    You can change this at my account and change my region o. This website then change it on your xbox

    Keep in mind it is not available in Germany China or japan as they don't qualify for the codes

    I am in Germany, but I have set the store to Austria and it worked for GoW2 and Judgement. Does Microsoft track my actual position?

    Yes. Some games are region locked. So in order to download them, your account region and your physical location have to match and you have to live in a region where the games are available. Not all of the Gears games were made region locked which is why
    you could download some of them.

    Ah, okay. So this means if could go to Austria with my Xbox One I probably would be able to redeem the codes and play the game? And when I return home to Germany would I still be able to play?

    I live in Mexico and bought the console here, the console included 4 codes: GoW 1, GoW 2, GoW 3, GoW 4 and 5, I could redeem every one except GoW 3. They are available in the store.
