Code Scratched Off Giftcard!

I bought an Xbox giftcard for my daughter. She scratched off the covering to the code; but now part of the code has rubbed off with it! Is there any way to scan the giftcard in to read barcode instead of manually entering the 25-digit code? Ugh, don't
want to have wasted $25!!!! Note, we only have XBOX-360, not XBOX One. Thanks!!

New Microsoft Xbox Giftcard Says Code Has Already Been Used?

Problem in title. I got a $25 Xbox Giftcard on Easter and just got around to using it. I just scratched off the cover to the code, typed it in, and it said it’s already been redeemed. Is there anything I can do? Clearly I haven’t
redeemed this code yet. I’ve checked and made sure I entered my exact code, and even tried entering it on both my Xbox and computer to no avail. Is there any way to fix or clear this up?

 

Nope, if you can't figure out the code you're unfortunately out of luck.

 

If it's a couple of characters then why not give it a try of redeeming? I know it will take a long time but, this can be your only choice.

 

I have the same problem right now u.u Xbox support should have an special area for this problems.

 

Every code is unique though no one knows what the code is until you scratch it off

That's why Xbox support can't just look it up

Its a double blind method

 

It helps keep fraud from happening like people just scanning the barcode

FYI if you have kinect you can just scan the barcode to input the code from the scratched off area

 

@ngocphi- i have the same problem. is there anyway you would graciously give me the steps to redeem using the kinect? This would be a miracle for my little boy.

Hey there, Rabbit501! I'm very sorry to see that you are unable to redeem your code. If the card has one, you should be able to simply scan the QR code on it. However, not all cards do. This thread is a bit old. If you need further assistance, please post
