    yes the code can be used onfe he must wait till he is 18

    are you sure it isnt his parental settings?

    btw esrb ratings are Now enforced and are a legal requirement

    Well, you can check with the LIVE support agents and give them the code so they can confirm it has been redeemed and if so was it redeemed on the right account. Go to
    Contact Us | Xbox Support sign in with your Microsoft Account addresse and password and type the code into the form so they can see it (a lot easier
    than reading it to them).
