Code error from Xbox Weekend Fun!!

I posted this at Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened. but got forwarded to here.

I am a recent winner of Xbox Weekend Fun and was emailed 2 codes from *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***. The email contained 2 codes set out like this:

10C26***************************** <-- 34 characters

Xbox Live 1-Month Subscription

MRQJY-*****-*****-*****-***** <-- 25 characters

NZ$10 Xbox credit

The second code successfully redeemed for an xbo live 1- month subscription, even though it says it is for NZ$10 Xbox credit. The first code, however, was a 34 character string with no hyphens, labelled Xbox Live 1-Month Subscription. To my knowledge, you
can only redeem 25 character codes in the xbox store. Also, this 24 digit code is labelled Xbox Live 1-Month Subscription, however the second code successfully redeemed a 1 month subscription.

Basically I got a working 1 month gold code, however the xbox credit does not work. I can post pictures if need be as proof. Also I received this email on the 28/04/2015

Same error here. Came home frome a weekend away to fibd this fun gem of an issue.

Quick question, well two really. What was the error code? Did you ask google what the error code meant?

Also, if the xbox is having status issues that can cause stupid error codes to drop. Usually though once you google the code you'll know what the issue is, and if the issue isn't related to the internet, i'd still hit up status page for xbox just to make sure.

Which i'll do before i hit post. Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage seems everything is normal right now, so hit us up with the error code, i'd try again though.

 

I have the EXACT same situation, except I am in Australia and it is the AU$10 credit. I have been in contact with Xbox support, but they were unable to help me. They asked me to post on another forum as it is the Rewards team that must resolve this. However,
I have now been redirected to this forum. I do hope I don't have to hop around much more. Been on this for many hours already!

I wouldn't worry too much, as I'm sure one of the xbox support crew will be able to help you out with this.

Edit: In the email you received, was there a way to reply? I'm thinking that it might be a good idea to reply to the email and state that the second code didn't work, or even look within the email to see if there is a contact address for any issues. Just

It seems to be happening to a few people, so hopefully you'll get a response soon

I did actually reply to the email and explained the problem. Not sure if the reply went anywhere though - no answers yet in any case.

I also checked all links etc. in the email and tried them all.

 

Ok, well all you can do now is wait I have just seen in another thread that an xbox support member is looking into the issue, so I'm sure he will have an update soon.

I will keep my fingers crossed for a quick resolution for you

 

Thanks. And I just received a new email with what appears to be a corrected code. I will try the code shortly, but I do not expect any problems.

it is likely that everyone has received a new email so, for anyone still having the issue, check your email inbox first.
