Code error 8000405 unresolved

Hello, I am getting the error code 80004005 on my Xbox360 and have followed online instructions to restart the consol and to wait 30 seconds before I do so, but the error seems to continue despite my efforts to solve it. Any suggestions?

do you get the error code when trying to open a specific game or app ? have you attempted to open a different game or app after you have done the power cycle ?

Sorry to hear about your 360, let's try to get you back into your gaming ASAP! I see you've done a bit of troubleshooting on your own, let's try a couple more things. First try

Clearing the Cache on your console by following the file:

1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
2. Go to Settings and select System Settings.
3. Select Storage or Memory.
4. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
   
5. Select Clear System Cache.
6. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
   

In the case this doesn't fix the error code, try
reinstalling the latest 360 update.

1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
2. Go to settings and select System.
3. Select Storage.
4. Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
   
5. Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically and then download the updates again.
