    Unable to set up brand new crucial X8 2tb SSD on Xbox series X after formatting to NTFS getting code (0x80bd003c) starting the drive is too slow which it isn't. Please help

    Go to Settings>System>Console Information

    And reset without deleting your games. Don't worry about progress, purchases, achievements, etc. You don't lose any data. Note that the console accounts will be removed, so you must have the email and password of each account to enter them again.

    Used the USB on the front of the console. I did 1 reset and chose the option to keep all games and apps first. Then signed back in to restore all settings. I think I did 1 more reboot/power off and on, before I got the option to reformat the SSD for games when I went into it via the settings. Hope that helps.
