    Code (0x80bd003b) with brand new crucial X8 1tb SSD on Xbox series S


    Unable to set up brand new crucial X8 1tb SSD on Xbox series S. Getting code (0x80bd003b) saying the drive is too slow which it isn't. Didn't get the option to reformat when connecting the storage. Have tried resetting the console but it hasn't worked.

    Used the USB on the front of the console. I did 1 reset and chose the option to keep all games and apps first. Then signed back in to restore all settings. I think I did 1 more reboot/power off and on, before I got the option to reformat the SSD for games when I went into it via the settings. Hope that helps.

    Thanks, when I connect it, it’s recognised but I don’t get a format option and it’s pre formatted on NTFS
