Code 0x80070005 when trying to install the Xbox App from the Microsoft store

Hello.

I just bought the deal for the 3 months of game pass for pc for $1 but it seems that when i try to install the Xbox app from the store it comes up with this error code. I have also tried downloading the installer from the website and still got the same error code when installing

I have updated my Windows 10 to make sure that wasn't causing any problems and still the same thing happens. Does anyone know what I can do?

On your hard drive, there is a folder called ''WpSystem'', take ownership of the folder and rename it to ''WpSystem.old'', save and try downloading the game again.

If the problem persists, follow this path, delete everything from the folder, restart your PC and try downloading the game again.

Windows > serviceprofiles > networkservice > appdata > local>microsoft > windows > deliveryoptimisation > cache >

If you have antivirus/antispyware running on your PC, disable it too.

Would you be able to tell me where I can locate the WpSystem folder? I was able to get permissions for the WindowsApps folder but cant see WpSystem anywhere

Thanks for the reply. I followed all of the steps and unfortunately the same error code is still coming up when trying to install the Xbox app

These steps can help you, give it a try.
Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.
1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app
2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset.
3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.
4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.
5. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and see if that solves the problem.

No? I didn't install it from the Microsoft Store, it was an old version,

from a GitHub repo.

But, it didn't work, the error is still
