Cod setting keep resetting and my game keeps syncing for data while in game

Please clear persistent storage by pressing the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Go to Settings > Devices & connections > Blu-ray > Persistent storage. Select "Clear persistent storage" to remove cached data that might be causing issues.

And then check network connection. Make sure that your internet connection is stable and has low latency. You can test your network by going to Settings > General > Network settings > Test network speed & statistics.

Next is to update the console and the game. Please check for updates for both your Xbox console and Call of Duty. To do this, go to Settings > System > Updates to ensure everything is up to date. And for the game update, open the Microsoft Store on your Xbox and search for the game. If an update is available, the store will show it.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly uninstall the game completely and reinstall it. This will delete the corrupted files from the game.

RESET YOUR CONSOLE IN THE SETTINGS WHILE KEEPING APP AND GAME DATA FIXED IT

The reset is required when the data doesn't sync or there are problems with the current saved data. In any event I suggest you to try reset and keep games and apps. Keep in mind you might lose game progress in both events.

Sorry to hear that didn't work. I recommend you try to factory reset your console. This won't delete any of your saved game data or already installed games and apps. Factory resetting your console will reset the OS and delete and potentially corrupted data.

Warning: Before following these steps, ensure you are already connected to the Xbox network. Your console will automatically sync data to the network when connected so if your console was offline for a while, any data not synced will be lost in the process.

1. Go to your Games & Apps at the top of the Home menu, then find the Settings app.

2. Go to System, then Console Info, then Reset console.

3. Select Reset and keep my games and apps.

4. Start the set-up process and see if the issue is fixed.

Doing a factory reset will not delete your games or data. You reset keeping all games and apps and your game save data will sync to the console from the cloud save.
