COD MW2 Vault edition games won’t launch

And you have all the add-ons included with COD installed. Right?
If you want to double check that highlight the game > manage game and add-ons > highlight the game again and press A > manage and verify if everything is checked

If that’s the case let’s try something a bit different.
For this download and configure the Xbox mobile app > go to the search tab and search one of the legacy COD games that you own > tap the result and tap on “download to console”, once downloaded try opening the game in that way and check if you’re able to play it or not

What console do you have? Xbox 1
When did you purchased the games? Sept 26, 2022, Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II - Vault Edition
Are you using an insider build / beta OS in your console? No
And, what did you tried so far to fix this? Closed and reopened the COD MW2. Rebooted Xbox 1.

The other included items with the Vault Edition are there for the COD MW II game. The Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, Season 1 Battlepass points.

The menu items to launch the Legacy games is found at the very bottom of all of the various COD MW II game modes. Including Warzone. However, when clicking any of the Legacy games it begins the 5,4,3,2,1 countdown and then nothing. Just presented with the same legacy games to select from. All 3 legacy games will not launch.

I did not purchase the legacy games as they are included in the Vault Edition so they should launch when selecting them from the available game modes within COD MW II

When did you purchased the games?
Today?
Are you using an insider build / beta OS in your console?
And, what did you tried so far to fix this
In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

In the meantime try this:
1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again

If you look at your account.Microsoft.com it would probably be the charge for the cross gen mw2

HOWEVEr if you are trying to refund the mw 2 cross gen then no as mentioned you played it

Mw2 vault edition. Is a upgrade to the base game not a replacement

You wouldve had to buy the cross gen to play vault edition

I don't think you realize what you bought

When you buy the vault edition you MUST have the base game to play it

The vault edition code only gives you the additional dlc NOT THE game
