Cod MW2 - press A to start won’t load

Did you uninstall and reinstall the game? I get how frustrating it is as I was dealing with the same issue and Xbox Customer Support told me it was “a publisher issue” (Activision). I reached out to them as well with no response as of yet..

Trying to think I of all things I tried:

-uninstall & reinstall

-clear cache (hold Xbox button on console for 10sec until shuts off - let sit for 1 min- restart)

-router reset

-punched myself in the face

-hard reset (keeping games)

Fortunately the hard reset worked for me but I would note that if the game is messed up, that won’t work. So I would do the uninstall and reinstall first.

Still hasnt worked as of 10:45 pm PST 12/22/22. Followed every step and then some. Reset console, uninstalled and re-installed. Restarted and powred off console. The game I ust bought for $70 is unplayable.

Hello. 12/27/2022. Xbox One. No joy on getting this @$& to play.

I've read all previous replies and the recommended fixes. And have attempted all of them several times, step by step. And, still the same result: MW loads, runs through intro until the title page and to the "press A" option.

I press A, content begins to load... screen goes through "loading data", and other notifications, with some infrequent millisecond glitch/flashes, then sends me back to "Press A". Press A, but the screen remains at the Press A, no matter what I do.

This was a gift via a redeemer code, which worked fine. I have uninstalled and installed 4 times now, along with all the other great "try this" options in the replies.

I would like some Microsoft support asap, or directions on how to get a refund or replacement. Please help !

i have the same issue, did everything in the thread, talked to xbox support. nothing is working.

was 'referred' to activision by xbox.

I'm not feeling confident this is going to end well.

I did this step for step, still not working.
