    COD MW 2 not reinstalling


    Hi
    A while back a bough COD MW 2 on Microsoft Store for my Xbox One. The game was playing fine and then stopped loading. I checked for console updates and my console is up to date. Check the network and all is working. Cleared the cache. Logged out my profile and logged back in successfully.

    I then finally did an uninstall by now the game will not reinstall.

    Any advise. Thanks

    I'm sorry you are experiencing issues installing MW2.

    If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

    - May I ask which Xbox One model you are using?

    - Is this MW2 for Xbox 360(2009), or the most recently released MW2?

    - Are there any external storage units plugged into your console?

    - Could you tell me exactly what happens when you try to install this game? Do you get any error codes/messages?

    I purchased a brand new XBox Series S (because the X has been tougher to find). Clean downloaded CoD:MW, and upon my first few games played, experienced the VIGOROUS error. Given that this game takes up the WHOLE hard drive, it’s frustrating to dedicate a whole Xbox to a game that doesn’t work.

    As indicated on the Microsoft forum reply:

    - I cleared my Alternate MAC Address in the Network Advanced Settings.

    - I deleted and reinstalled my profile.

    STILL HAPPENED

    As of August 2021, deleted and reinstalled the CoD: MW Data Pack 1 - 18MB

    CoD: MW Data Compatibility Pack 2 - 8.0GB

    CoD: MW Multiplayer Pack - 6.0GB

    These are the 3 red items highlighted in a good post on this same thread. And I appreciate his time.

    However, same error.
