    COD 2 NOT backwards compatible


    Hi can anyone tell me why COD 2 isnt backwards compatible for me? I have put the disc in my Xbox one and nothing happens. Theres nothing waiting to download or anything, it as if it isnt even available. Why are people playing it when i seemingly cant?

    Microsoft! We want Halo 2 servers back up for a greater gaming experience!

    Halo 2 is not compatible with the latest xbox live system code.

    As SuperGuard703 said, the Xbox LIVE service code has changed and the original xbox title are no longer compatible so it would not be possible to have the server back online for this. It will never happen.

    try a reboot I just did like a few secs ago it worked

    No that doesn't work. Its pretty lame how Major Nelson tweets that a new game is backwards compatible yet when you go to actually play it it doesnt work. What a joke.

    NeoPrime85, Some issues with the backwards compatibility games can be resolved if you restart the console with the game loaded. hope this is not to late to help........Good luck.

    COD 2 NOT backwards compatible

    Do a power cycle to properly "refresh" your console's backward compatibility.

    I remember other threads of people facing the same problem with a recently announced 360 game for Backward Compatibility, and this definitely did the trick.

    Some games are compatible, like COD Modern Warfare, Gears 5, Minecraft, Warframe, etc... There is even some games which support keyboard but not mouse like Mirrors Edge: Catalyst, Cube 2, Gears of War 4 and Battlefield 1.

    I know Modern Warfare 2 was one of my votes. Can't remember what were the other ones.

    Last I checked, RDR was the top request for BC compatibility. It's nice to see that not the majority wants to play COD all day long on a shiny new machine.
