    Co op issues


    My boyfriend and I have purchased this game twice. Only so we can play side by side. We have both passed the beginning and got the notice that co-op is available. We have tried to invite in all ways possible with all different settings. It keeps saying 'session
    is no longer available'. I've even had online players come up beside me. But he can not. Has there been a solution yet. I've seen this same issue for 3 years now.

    Please help!

    haven't tried co-op but a friend is planning to get it so we'll try soon

    co-op issues

    So my friend and I are trying to co-op between a 360 and an xbox one.... and his Scholar of the first sin is the exact same game as it was before with nothing new. I'm wondering if that is the issue, but we cannot seem to co-op even though we were the same
    SM and had the rings and everything was perfect for a link except for the whole same exact game issue.... is there any reason other than that that we couldn't connect?

    Dead Island Riptide achievements.

    yet again today nothing but freezing issues in co-op. Bloody annoying considering I bought this for the co-op and it doesn't even work!

    Over on the Dead Island forums alot of people are reporting issues with co-op, quite a few even reporting losing their saves after playing co-op, I for one am waiting on the update/patch before venturing into co-op play.

    It's working OK for me, though last night my friend's game freaked out and dumped him to the Home screen while we were setting up the game. Restarting the Xbox fixed it.



    One thing we noticed was that the Xbox One labeled both of our routers as "strict" (Settings -> Network). We both have Xbox 360s as well, and those always showed "open". Well, the issue is that the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 both use the same ports (The Xbox
    One uses a couple of extra ones that the 360 didn't) so if your router is set up to forward the ports to the Xbox 360's IP address, then those ports are effectively closed for the Xbox One. Hence you get a "strict" NAT, which can cause issues with matchmaking
    and chat.



    The Xbox One also doesn't use UPnP correctly (which would automatically configure the ports for you), so unfortunately the fix is that you have to go into your router's configuration and manually forward the ports to the Xbox One IP address. This also requires
    that you give the Xbox One a fixed IP address instead of using DHCP.
