Clunk Noise when turning console on

    Clunk Noise when turning console on


    Just wondering if it is normal to hear a "clunk" type noise from what seems to be the disc drive on start up. Have tried with and without disc and in low power mode & instant on?

    Everything works fine aside from that and it is just the one noise.

    Does anyone elses make a similar noise?

    Just to also help put your mind at ease when I first turn mine on it makes a sound, I do think it's the drive just kicking in and checking if theres a disc in the drive nothing to worry about.

    Yeah, I think it's the Blu-ray disc drive, as it happened on my Xbox One X (HDD) and does the same on my Series X (SSD). Don't worry about it!

    Yep, I never use discs on my consoles. I think it's just the noise of the Blu-ray loading mechanism initialising, ready to accept a disc.
