Cloud saves with one month free trial

Hello, I have got an offer from MS to get a free one month trial with recurring charge.

If I sign up to this will I be able to use the free cloud based storage to upload my 360 game saves?

I have read that you can't do this with a 14 day free trial but this is a recurring monthly sign up so I assume it would work (because it would have to work after the free month ran out?)

Or could you only use the cloud based storage after one month?

I'd like to use it now but won't sign up for this if I can't use the cloud storage facility straight away.

You might first want to check that you've enabled cloud saving, per
this guide.

If it still is not working, I do believe Internet Expert might be correct in stating that you are not able to use the cloud saving feature while on a 14-day trial membership. A one-month trial, or a full Gold subscription, should allow you access to the
feature.

Nobody really knows how they will do this, but one would assume that anybody with cloud enabled and having saves on the system will be up for that extra month gold.......silver and those with cloud disabled and zero saves on the system will not get that
free month.....one would assume.

You can use the cloud storage for xbox 360 to save your files on but after gold ends you can't acces them anymore but if the game is backwards compatible on the one you can use the cloud storage for free no gold required so you need gold on the 360 to use
the cloud but not on the one

 

One month trials allow you to use the cloud storage feature.

You can then use that time to upload your savegames to the cloud, so you can use them on the Xbox One, which allows Cloud save access without a Gold membership.

 

Sorry, still don't get it.

MS state that you can't use the cloud storage with a free 14 day trial of XBL but I'm still not sure if I can use it if I sign up for a monthly recurring XBL account with the first month free.

I have just got an XBOX ONE S and I just want to transfer a few game saves from my 360 to continue playing one the 1S.

Alternatively, MS also offer (via the 1S) XBL on a monthly recurring fee with the first month for £1.

Surely that would work?

The 14 day trial cards you get in some console or game boxes are a "Gold light" membership so to speak.

That 14 day trial will only grant you the ability to play online multiplayer or participate in parties.

You do NOT get any other benefits like "Deals with Gold" (reduced prices for game deals), "Games with Gold" (free games each month with your Gold membership) or Cloudstorage.

However, the full month trial WILL give you access to these features.

If you do have the trial already, simply try to
go to the Games with Gold page, and try to get a game. If you see the game price reduced to 0,00 with your Gold Trial membership, the Cloud save will work.

 

Thanks, tried to sign up for the free month but just got an error message - I think there may be issues with XBL atm so I'll try again later.
