    Cloud saves not working on PC after using iPad Beta in Dragon Quest IX


    I decided to test Dragon Quest IX on my iPad last night after I was invited to the beta. I went to load the game on my PC this morning and am receiving a message saying, "an unknown error occurred" and the game launches to the title screen without my saves. I get the cloud sync dialogue box when the game launches, but it never goes past 0% and then repeats the sequence above.

    If you rescued Phillippa, and did the quest to get the dagger, you can only save the dragon. If you chose to go after Triss instead, then you have the option to "kill the dragon" or "Leave her be"

    None of this will help as the save has been over-written by a newer save. And that includes cloud save as they used the Xbox after PC so the Xbox would have synced with the cloud.

    When you uninstall any software on PC, usually all files associate with it will be removed. Since you mention using Xbox beta for Game Pass PC, your save files should be synced to the cloud on Xbox Live. They will sync to your PC again when you sign back
    in after re-installing the game and select your profile to load it.

    At least this one is available on PC too, so I'll get it there even if my pc is not on par with my xbox for gaming
