    Hello,

    I am enjoying using the backward compatibility feature on my Xbox One console to play Xbox 360 games.

    The only option when playing backward compatible games is to save to Cloud storage.

    When I last booted up my Xbox 360 and started a game, it triggered a sync of cloud storage. This took a while and it came

    with an error message that it failed and to free some space on the cloud.

    I wish to keep the game saves of my backward compatible games I am playing but see no option of where to store them

    other than the Cloud storage.

    Question : Is it possible to use a USB stick on my Xbox One to store backward compatible game saves ? If so, I could transfer

    saves from the cloud to USB.

    Seems odd that Xbox One only allows saves to Cloud storage (for backward compatible games) and the limit you can store

    is greater than allowed on the Xbox 360. Thus, when syncing on Xbox 360 you get an error you are out of space !!!!

    In this situation, no alternative location seems to be available to transfer the Xbox One cloud saves in order to free space.

    Are you experiencing the cloud syncing issue when playing a Xbox One game or a Xbox 360 backwards compatibility game? If this is for a backwards compatibility game, did you ensure that the saves you're loading are syncing fully to the cloud? For steps on
    moving your Xbox 360 game saves to the cloud, you can follow the steps on our

    Transferring to 360?

    Hey there EeryDolphin3786.

    If you're playing an Xbox 360 game on your Xbox One through backward compatibility, your saves are accessible from the cloud. You shouldn't have any issues loading up a save on your Xbox 360 so long as your account has Xbox Live Gold. If you're playing the
    Xbox One version of an Xbox 360 game, there isn't a way to transfer saves.

    Currently it is only possible to use the cloud for backwards compatible game saves.

    Backwards compatible cloud storage on Xbox One.

    I did try that with some Backwards compatible titles.

    If you do have a Gold membership (which is required to use the Cloud for savegame storage on the Xbox 360), you can go back and forth on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

    Just make sure you actually quit your Xbox 360 game on the Xbox One and let it sync.

    Also make sure that when you turn off your Xbox 360, it will still run a bit where it'll also sync the Cloud save.
    If you enabled the backwards compatible cloud through Xb1 it'll just tell you it belongs to another xbox anytime you launch it on 360.

    If it's a backwards compatible game for the One, the save is stored on the cloud and should sync up when you play the game on the 360.

    If it's the same game, but the 360 and One versions are considered different, you won't be able to use the same save.

    You will need to get on your old Xbox 360, and manually transfer your TEW save file to the cloud, as it is most likely saved locally to the 360 console's hard drive. Please note that your Xbox profile will need an active Gold subscription to do this.

    The Xbox One reads and writes save files over the cloud, especially with Xbox 360 backward compatibility. Once you transfer your 360 save to the cloud, you can pick up where you left off on the Xbox One.

    It’s already in the cloud. I checked today.

    Just so were clear, this isn’t a backward compatibility issue. The save is obviously from the 360 version of the game. I’m now playing the Xbox One version of the game (not backward compatible 360 version) and would like to continue from where I left off.
    Is it even possible?
