Cloud is broken

So i downloaded Forza Horizon onto my Xbox One because it became backwards compatible and so, i jumped back on 360 and put my old hugesave from years ago on the cloud. I can play my save fine on Xbox One, but upon finding out a lot of my 360 friends also
downloaded the game but for the 360, i decided to do the same. The only issue is, xbox one does not register the cloud as being uploaded, so whenever i try use the cloud save on my 360, it's not letting me, and tells me "To use this save, log into the previous
console and upload it" But i don't know how to manually upload files on the Xbox One Cloud, like you could do on 360. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Cloud servers are still broken. So anything you do is a waste of time atm.

 

Cloud Saves Broken?

Chat support suggested I post here and to GameSpot forums for my issue..

My Fable II cloud saves appear to be broken,

In 'Storage Devices' Fable 2, it shows Hero 1 - Cloud Only.

When I launch Fable II..

Press A to Start..

Press A on New Game,

I choose Cloud Saved Games for the location.

Error box titled "Cloud Saved Games"

Items on another Xbox are waiting to be uploaded for this game or app. To use cloud storage, sign in to the Xbox you last played on and upload the items to the cloud.

I can't copy/move/delete this save.. Microsoft chat support suggested I post to the GameSpot forums, I hesitated, thinking WTF, then the chat support agent suggested I go here.

I would really like to recover this game if at all possible. Seems like a 'File in Use' error that computers get... Need someone on the back end to clear the 'in use' flag? Has been multiple years since I have been able to play..

Sorry to hear about the issue.

Let's have you try clearing your Xbox 360 local storage on your Xbox One console. Start at your Xbox One dashboard:

• Open the Guide menu
• Scroll down to Settings
• Select all Settings
• Scroll down to System
• Navigate over to Storage
• Select "Clear local Xbox 360 storage"

Try that and see if helps resolve the issue.

Additionally, are you able to save any other backward compatible games to the cloud currently or is it just Forza Horizon not working correctly?

 

I had the same problem, though I didn't notice until the Xbox One had already saved over my cloud data, so now I have no progress on my Xbox 360 as well. All other backward compatible games I've tried (Gears of War 3, Assassin's Creed, Shadow Complex) all
work perfectly, just Forza Horizon. It showed a "syncing" screen when I first loaded as though it was download the game save, but once I got to the main menu it started a new game and now all progress was gone.

If you boot up the game on an Xbox 360 console are you still seeing the save file there? What happens if you re-upload the save file from the Xbox 360 console to the cloud and then try again on the Xbox One?

 

Nope, when I started the game on 360 it did a download and then there was no saved game. The saved game said it was created in 2013, but it only let me start from scratch.

 

Thanks for the info, how did you save the game on Xbox 360 originally? How did you move the save to the cloud? Did you "Copy" the save or "Move" the save to the cloud?

Did you have your Xbox One console offline while you played, before you moved the save to the cloud?

The game was originally saved to the internal HDD on the Xbox 360. I used the "Move" command to save to the cloud as I had seen reports on the forzamotorsport.net forums that copying could lead to corrupted saves. My Xbox One console was online, but Forza
Horizon was not running when I moved the save.

This may or may not be related to the issue, but I had the disc version of Forza Horizon, but used the digital download version of the game (Free from Games with Gold) on the Xbox One.

As far as I know, no, I bought the season pass, and everything seems to have downloaded. I outright purchased all of the DLC for the game, not through any other offers.
