    Cloud Gaming web beta only supports official gamepad?


    I just got invited to try out the cloud gaming beta web app. I don't have a modern Xbox controller, only some old wireless 360 pads (and a broken 360 Wireless Receiver), and a number of PS4 controllers. I have used the Dualshock 4 for streaming via Android a number of times, but when I try to launch a game from the web player on my PC (Win10 / Chrome), it says "something's not right" and shows the Controller as "disconnected".

    The pad is connected via USB. I ran a web based "gamepad tester", and the controller shows up there with all axes and buttons working as expected.

    Should I expect the web app to support this now? If not, are there plans to support it in the future?

    If you’re using a web browser to play cloud games, the Xbox Wireless Controller is currently the only officially supported controller. Other controllers may or may not work for cloud gaming on a browser.

    When cloud gaming on an Xbox console, any wired or wireless controller that is compatible with an Xbox console will work for cloud gaming on console.

    If you’re using a web browser to play cloud games, the Xbox Wireless Controller is currently the only officially supported controller. Other controllers may or may not work for cloud gaming on a browser.

    The only official announcement I've seen regarding cloud support was their E3 statement. I read a couple of articles today saying that select individuals had received a dashboard update for cloud support, but both sourced a EuroGamer article that has been
    taken offline. Maybe it's in beta testing and the NDA keeps them from talking about it.

    It would only work As a gamepad not dual shock
    I'm not interested in the dual shock functionality, but I would love to use it as a gamepad.

    I wasn't able to find any info in regards to beta drivers, but the cloud gaming page states that the Xbox team did verify that PS4 controllers should work, granted it also says it wasn't an exhaustive test to verify functionality on all controllers.

    Windows is able to recognize my controller via either bluetooth or usb connection.
